Washington AFC Panthers Sponsorship Renewal

Mackenzie Construction has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work by continuing the sponsorship of the Washington AFC Panthers for the 2025/26 season. Washington AFC is located near Mackenzie Construction’s Newcastle hub, and the partnership is even more meaningful as one of our Newcastle site managers, Richard Helens’ son, also plays on the team.

This ongoing partnership provides vital support for the club, helping to empower young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the pitch. The sponsorship contributes towards essential costs such as training equipment, kits, travel, and access to quality coaching, ensuring players have the resources they need to grow in skill, confidence, and ambition.

Andy Dalrymple, Managing Director at Mackenzie Construction, spoke of the continued sponsorship:

“At Mackenzie Construction, we’re proud to support young people in the communities where we live and work. Just as we focus on developing talent within our business, we’re pleased to back these young athletes as they grow on and off the pitch.”

Washington AFC Panthers Coach, Dan Clark, added:

“Washington FC Panthers are delighted to confirm that Mackenzie Construction will be renewing their sponsorship for the 2025/26 season.

Having such a well-respected national company supporting our team is an incredible boost—not just for the club, but especially for the boys. While we focus on developing their football skills, we’re also committed to teaching them valuable life lessons that they can carry forward into school, work, and beyond.

What Mackenzie Construction represents—hard work, dedication, ambition, and a strong sense of community—is exactly what we try to instil in the lads. It’s inspiring to see a sponsor whose values align so closely with our own.

Thanks to your generous support last season, we were able to train and play on high-quality all-weather pitches and kit the boys out in brand-new jackets. That support helped give us a real edge—and the results spoke for themselves. The team went on to win both the Under-12 Northumberland League and the Under-12 Northumberland Cup in a truly remarkable season.

As we move up to the Under-13s, we’ll continue to proudly wear the Mackenzie logo across Northumberland. I hope the boys did the company proud—we never forget those who help us on our journey.

On behalf of myself, the coaching staff, and all the lads—thank you. We couldn’t ask for a better sponsor.”
