Supporting Forth Valley Men’s Sheds’ Community Expansion

With Scottish Men’s Sheds and Men’s Sheds UK as Mackenzie Construction’s chosen charity for 2025/26, we were proud to support the Forth Valley Men’s Shed, Alloa’s Community Shed, with a donation of flooring materials for the renovation of Marshill House.

The project is a key part of the Forth Valley Men’s Shed’s expansion into a larger, more inclusive community hub. While staying true to its core purpose of tackling isolation through skill-sharing and social connection, the new space will welcome people of all ages and genders. Activities range from woodworking and crafts to simply spending time together over a cup of tea.

The Forth Valley Men’s Sheds secured over £185,000 to purchase and refurbish the building, Marshill House, to become a long-term asset for the local community. Our contribution has helped turn the building into a safe, practical and welcoming environment, with the new flooring allowing workshop areas to be set up properly and used year-round.

Men’s Sheds as an organisation, creates spaces where people can connect, learn new skills and work on meaningful projects together, positively impacting mental health, wellbeing and community.

At Mackenzie Construction, we support causes that reflect our values of collaboration, wellbeing and community engagement. We are delighted to be working with Men’s Sheds to make lasting, positive contributions through this partnership.
